What are the main submission guidelines?

Please refer to the submission link for further guidelines. We accept articles up to 15,000 words in length. We only accept submissions in electronic format. Use a standard font size and any standard font. Limit manuscript sections and subsections to 3 heading levels. Manuscript should be double spaced and include page numbers. We use Oxford style referencing.

After I make a submission, when will I hear from the editor?

Submissions will receive prompt notification of receipt. In relation to the decision to accept the submission for publication, the policy of the IJALS is to respond within eight weeks of submission date. This may be extended where the peer review process is delayed due to matters beyond editorial control. If this occurs appropriate communication will advise of the likely response date.
